NF1 Survey: Communication, Swallowing, and Hearing for Children and Individuals with NF1

Kimberly Marrs is a graduate student at California State University, Sacramento (CSUS) in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. She is completing a survey study under the supervision of my mentor, Dr. Heather Thompson:

“We are looking for individuals with Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF1) or parents of children with NF1 to participate in a 30-minute survey to learn about communication, swallowing, and hearing disorders. The purpose of our research is to learn about how communication disorders, swallowing difficulties, and hearing difficulties impact individuals with NF1. We also hope to learn about the perspectives of parents of individuals with NF1 as well.

To complete the survey, you must be a person who is 8 years of age or older with a clinical or genetic diagnosis of NF1 or be a parent of a child who is 5 years of age or older with NF1. All individuals who complete the survey must be able to read English. 

Your participation on this survey is voluntary. The survey will not prompt you for information that will personally identify you, such as your name, email, address, date of birth, or place of employment.
