Ducky Dash

What is the Ducky Dash?

Ducky Dash 5K is all about Running (or Walking) and supporting the neurofibromatosis community! Join us on Saturday, May 18th, 2024 at 9:00 am for an exciting "rubber ducky race themed" event that features the gorgeous views of Herrick Lake in Wheaton, IL! Participants will have a chance to "adopt" their favorite "duck" AKA runner to win a prize! Come and cheer on your "duck"! Adopt multiple ducks to increase your odds. Whether your runner comes in first or not, you are still creating hope for people living with neurofibromatosis! All of our runner/walker duckies can score some awesome race/walk swag, including a Dick Pond gift card for free socks, a medal, Race T, and finish line treats! This race is sure to leave you feeling ducky! The Ducky Dash is timed and scored by Race Time.

Quack for a Cure May 18, 2024 at Lake Herrick in Wheaton, IL
Check in begins 8AM | Race begins 9 AM

Everyone is encouraged to dress up ducky-style. Wear swim fins and a snorkel, deck out an umbrella with ducks, go comfy in ducky PJs, sport a large inflatable duck…you name it! After the run/walk there will be an awards ceremony and ducky games for the whole family. In addition to raffle winners, prizes will be awarded for the best ducky costume and the most likes using #DuckFaceForNF. Fundraising will be encouraged with great prizes for different levels. Stay tuned for more details!

Be a Part of the Fun!

We want to have all kinds of fun ducky swag and prizes for our participants. But, we can't do it without you! Your sponsorship and/or in-kind gifts go to The Neurofibromatosis (NF) Network. We are a national leader in the promotion of federally-funded NF research. We bring the voices of the NF community directly to Congress each year to secure desperately needed funds for NF research. In addition, the NF Network produces educational materials, newsletters and meetings for adults and children to help them understand NF. We also combat social isolation by providing a hotline for NF questions, community events like this and spreading awareness. We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, so your contributions are tax deductible and also what keep us around for when the next NF family calls.
