We had an exhilarating Neurofibromatosis (NF) Awareness Month filled with vibrant celebrations! The month was packed with meaningful events, including our second annual Ducky Dash 5K in Wheaton, IL, and an enlightening webinar featuring Dr. Thomas J. Wilson. He shared insights from his Project Dream grant, which focuses on identifying pain sources in individuals with Neurofibromatosis and Schwannomatosis.
Following this, we hosted our Sketch NF auction, which showcased incredible talent and creativity. We capped off the month with our inspiring annual #NFSTRONG walk in Kansas City, MO. Each event was a resounding success, bringing smiles, fostering connections, providing education, and creating a strong sense of community. The Ducky Dash welcomed close to 200 participants, doubling our inaugural turnout. The Sketch NF auction raised an impressive $5,656, surpassing last year's totals and highlighting many new NF pediatric artists. In Kansas City, over 150 participants enjoyed an exciting foam party after the walk!
Although NF Awareness Month has come to an end, let's continue to spread awareness together to create a better future for our community!
