House Deadline is Approaching - The NF Network Needs YOUR Voice!

This year on February 9th through the 11th, the NF Network Advocacy Program traveled to Washington DC as one voice for the NF community to speak on the importance of congressional funding for NF research. 94 NF advocates from 29 states walked from office to office educating over 250 congressional offices about the importance of federal funding for NF research. Their mission was to encourage signatures in support of critical NF research funding.
Our Hill visit was just the first part of our journey. We have educated the staff and now each of us - including your friends, family, and loved ones - need to be NF advocates and ask Congress for $20 million in the FY21 Department of Defense Appropriations bill and to continue to invest in NF research through the National Institutes of Health.
As the “Dear Colleague” letter circulates in the House, we are asking everyone to reach out to our representatives to show them that there are many voters affected by NF and request that they sign to the “Dear Colleague” letter. The DEADLINE for the House letter is March 11th, so we need your voice NOW more than EVER!
Using the form on the NF Network website makes contacting your representative easy and takes less than 2 minutes to complete! The form will identify your representative when you input your address and a letter has already been preloaded. Please feel free to include YOUR story as a part of your letter to your representative - as a constituent, it is your voice that will encourage your Congressperson to sign on. Instructions for personalizing your email are included with the letter.
Click here to complete the form and send a letter to yoru representative. If you’ve already filled out the form, please feel free to share with your friends and family – the more people who contact their representatives, the more likely they are to sign on and support! Together we are ONE VOICE that can end NF!
