When Belmont residents Amy and Scot DeDeo learned their son, Nat, had Neurofibromatosis, they didn’t waste any time.

They learned as much as they could about the disease, also called NF. It’s a genetic disorder of the nervous system that causes tumors to form on nerves anywhere in or on the body at any time.

They also got involved with NF Northeast, a non-profit organization which promotes research, awareness and advocacy.
