The SketchNF Auction opens on July 22, 2026, offering you the opportunity to purchase heartfelt artwork created by children living with neurofibromatosis (NF). Each piece tells a unique story of imagination, strength, and life with this rare condition, and every bid helps raise awareness and provide crucial support for NF research and families.

This year, SketchNF is stepping into an even bigger spotlight. We are excited to announce that SketchNF artwork will be featured in a gallery as part of the Rare Square exhibit. Guests are invited to experience a special preview beginning on July 7, with the official opening celebration taking place on July 29. The exhibit is free to attend, making fine art and powerful storytelling accessible to everyone.

Come and experience the creativity of our NF pediatric artists alongside a broader collection that highlights rare genetic disorders. This is more than just an exhibit—it serves as a reminder that rare does not mean invisible.

SketchNF began with a deeply personal story

At 14, Sahil learned that tumors had developed in his neck. Diagnosed with NF1 at just one year old, he had been symptom-free until age nine, when migraines, pain, and surgery became part of his reality. 

Through that journey, one gap became clear: beyond medical care, there was a need for connection. It was difficult to find a space where children with NF could feel truly understood and see others walking a similar path. This realization sparked a mission to build that community. 

SketchNF was created to provide a way for children to express themselves, be seen, and feel supported through something simple, powerful, and deeply human: a sketch.
