In the heart of Memphis, Carrie Wylie (pictured above with friends and family) shines as a devoted caregiver and fierce advocate for her daughter, Kaitlyn, who bravely lives with neurofibromatosis. For over a decade, Carrie has been a vital part of the NF Network, passionately leading #NFStrong events that foster community support for Kaitlyn and others facing this challenge.
Each day, Carrie confronts obstacles but also celebrates victories, fueled by gratitude for the strong family and friends who rally around Kaitlyn in her fight against the pain of NF. As the 14th Annual 5K for NF approaches on November 9 at Overton Park, Carrie’s enthusiasm inspires families to come together and form teams for the walk or fun run. In addition, our mission of education and community building will be enriched by a lunch-and-learn session on November 8. Stay tuned for more details.
This year, participants can look forward to a unique incentive: teams of 10 or more will receive a custom logo printed on the back of the event t-shirts. This fosters an exciting sense of camaraderie as participants unite, creating a vibrant expression of support for their cause.
As excitement mounts, families gather in Overton Park, with each step during the 5K symbolizing a united front against neurofibromatosis. Carrie embraces the belief that #NFStrong is not merely an event; it is a powerful demonstration of love and support for the community. Together, they are shaping a brighter future for those impacted by neurofibromatosis. Guided by her daughter's spirit, Carrie is leading a movement filled with compassion and strength.
