The NF Hope® Concerts are focused on positively impacting the NF community and making a difference in the world around us. With this focus, we recognize our prudent responsibility to help health officials minimize the spread of COVID-19.

So, it is with this responsibility and a heavy heart that we announce the cancellation of Chicago’s 3rd Annual NF Hope Concert, originally scheduled for March 29, 2020 and NYC’s 4th Annual NF Hope Concert, scheduled for May 4, 2020.

The NF Hope® Concerts were created to support the NF community and fund NF Network’s programs to empower NF families and improve their lives. Many individuals living with NF are being treated with chemotherapy and other similar anti-tutorial regiments, and as a result may be immune suppressed. Because we are dedicated to their safety, we cannot take a chance of exposing NF families to COVID-19 and the dangers it could pose to them and other family members. We also have to consider the well-being of our caring patrons and the community at large.

Our challenge now, beyond helping our families navigate this unprecedented pandemic, is to recover from the loss of this invaluable fundraising. In total, the cancellation of Chicago’s 3rd Annual NF Hope Concert and NYC’s 4th Annual NF Hope Concert represents nearly $75,000 in lost income. For a grass roots organization, this is devastating.

So, we are asking for your help.

Starting today, we are opening an online appeal to help raise at least some of the revenue lost to ensure that Neurofibromatosis Network can continue its work supporting NF families.
