24/7 with My NF Child: Developmental Strategies to Cope During COVID-19 Social Distancing
Wednesday, May 27th, 2020
7:00 pm CT/ 8:00 pm ET
Extended time at home can be difficult for all of us. It can be especially difficult for our children as we adjust to new stay-at-home orders, guidelines, and restrictions. As a parent of a child with NF1 and a professional in child development, Rachel Sakofs, M.S. CCC-SLP, will provide insight and resources for helping your child while at home during the pandemic and beyond.
In this webinar, Rachel will discuss the shift in roles due to stay-at-home orders, review developmental challenges with children with neurofibromatosis, and share helpful resources for working through these challenges with your child. Rachel will also reinforce the idea of radical self-acceptance as a parent of a child with NF. Gain new insight, answers, and peace of mind as we learn new coping strategies for our children.
Rachel Sakofs, M.S. CCC-SLP is a Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist practicing from her new home in Jacksonville, FL.
