Join us for a webinar featuring Cedars Sinai's Dr. Nicole Baca, M.D. She will be presenting the imaging study seeking children and adolescents with Neurofibromatosis Type 1. This is your opportunity to learn more about the study and ask any questions you may have. We also set aside some time to allow for some socializing and offering support to those who may benefit from it. Register for Webinar
All are welcome, NF patients, families, friends, educators and physicians. After registering, you will receive an confirmation email from Zoom containing information about joining the meeting. If you have any questions regarding this event you can reach us at info@nfcalifornia.org / 707-469-0467.
Purpose:
Dr. Baca and her team are conducting a study to develop and evaluate an experimental magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technology. The experimental MRI technique uses a whole-body MRI, which is commonly used, and a computer program that is in development. The computer program makes the MRI capture images faster and can still capture images when a person is not completely still. We want to see if this MRI technique is accurate and if it can detect signs of cancer in children with NF-1.
Who is eligible?
• Children and adolescents diagnosed with NF-1
• Ages 5 to 17 years old
