Patriots tight end makes special visit

A 7-year-old Melrose boy got a very special wish granted and an All-Pro visitor Friday when his backyard was transformed into a New England Patriots-themed football field.

Ryan Feeney’s dream came true thanks to Make-A-Wish of Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski, as well as Pat Patriot, the Patriots mascot, made a surprise appearance as Ryan’s personalized Make-A-Wish football jersey, scoreboard, team benches, bleachers and custom “Ryan Feeney Field” sign were unveiled at his home.
