Do you experience pain from NF1?
You are invited to participate in a clinical trial to evaluate a chronic pain management mobile application for Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF1). The purpose of this study is to understand the impact of the iCanCope-NF mobile application on individuals suffering from chronic pain due to NF1, with the goal of reducing pain symptoms. Participation in the study will include virtual visits with the study team over a 2-month period and a 6-week follow-up survey. If you agree to participate in the study, you will be randomly assigned to one of three groups, two of which will have access to the mobile application. Upon completing the trial, you will receive a gift card for your participation.
Participation in the study is voluntary. You can refuse to participate or withdraw from this study at any time. If you decide to participate, you may still refuse to answer any questions that make you feel uncomfortable.
If you are interested in participating in this study, contact Kaitlyn Larkin at Kaitlyn.larkin@yale.edu for more information. If you have any questions feel free to email Dr. Frank Buono at frank.buono@yale.edu. Dr. Buono’s research is funded by the Department of Defense - Congressionally Directed Research Program (CDMRP-NFRP).
