Advocating from Afar: NF Network Advocacy Program Goes Virtual
Author: NF Network
Published On: 03/05/2021
At the beginning of February, advocates across the country participating in the NF Network Advocacy Program readied their work-from-home spaces and prepared to conduct their annual congressional meetings virtually. On February 8th through the 12th, 78 advocates educated over 240 congressional offices about the importance of federal funding for NF research. Their mission was to encourage signatures in support of critical NF research funding.
We are grateful for the continued passion and dedication shared by each and every one of you! We are inspired by the work of our advocates - year after year - who speak out, speak with, and speak for our NF community.
Our Virtual Hill Visit was the first part of our journey. We will continue to need your voices to remind Congress of the importance and impact of these federal research funds for neurofibromatosis. As we prepare for the Dear Colleague letters to begin circulating, we thank you for advocating with us on behalf of all the families and individuals living with NF!
