Raise Your Voice for NF Research, Contact Your Representatives!

In early February, advocates participating in the NF Network Advocacy Program sat down at their computers and began their virtual meetings as one voice for the NF community, speaking on the importance of congressional funding for NF research. 78 NF advocates from 26 states educated over 240 congressional offices about the exciting achievements and progress in NF research and the importance of continued federal funding in these areas of study. Their mission was to encourage signatures in support of critical NF research funding.

Our virtual Hill meetings were just the first part of our journey. Now, we need your help to be the voice for our NF community and request the support of our members of Congress.

Using the simple form on the NF Network website, we need you, your friends, family, and loved ones to be NF advocates and ask Congress to support $25 million in the FY22 Department of Defense Appropriations bill and to continue to invest in NF research through the National Institutes of Health.

As the “Dear Colleague” letter circulates in the House, this email form will show your representatives that there are many voters affected by NF and requests that they sign on to the letter by the April 19th deadline. The form will identify your representative when you input your address, and a letter has already been preloaded. Please feel free to include your story as a part of your letter to your representative - as a constituent, it is your voice that will encourage your congressperson to sign on.

Click here to complete the form and send a letter to your representative. If you’ve already filled out the form, we encourage you to share with your friends and family – the more people who contact their representatives, the more likely they are to sign on and support.

Thank you for raising your voice for NF research - together we are ONE VOICE for the NF community!
